Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
