Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted rugs from Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian and is characterised by simple, rustic designs. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They offer thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool, geometric or animal motifs. Gabbehs are made of wool on wool and vary in size from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room. Their patterns can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people.
