Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have been gaining popularity as a more relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns, often abstract or featuring animal and human motifs. Mostly made from wool, there are also variants made from cotton or other materials, in various sizes to suit any room.
