Description
Kilim rugs differ fundamentally from hand-knotted rugs in their hand-weaving technique, without high wool pile and with a flatter, rougher texture. This simple production method makes them more affordable. They are lighter and can be used on both sides, which simplifies care and avoids washing problems. Originally from Persia, they are also manufactured in India and are characterised by simple, linear patterns due to their weaving technique.
