Description
Kilim rugs differ significantly from hand-knotted varieties in that they are hand-woven without a thick wool pile. This makes them flatter and coarser, which in turn makes them more affordable. These rugs are lighter and can be used on both sides. Originally from Persia, they are now also produced in Afghanistan and are characterised by simple, linear patterns determined by their weaving technique.
