Description
Afghanistan has a long tradition of carpet weaving, especially in the north of the country. Among the best known and finest carpets from this region are the hand-knotted Mamluk, Kahl Mohammadi and Mauri carpets. These Afghan oriental carpets are characterised by their warm, dark red colours and distinctive Göl ornaments. The Göl patterns, octagonal and often referred to as elephant feet, give the carpets their distinctive and traditional style. The unique combination of craftsmanship and high-quality materials makes these carpets particularly durable and of outstanding quality. These design elements and careful craftsmanship set the carpets apart and add an authentic and stylish touch to any room.
