Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, represent the Gabbeh tradition, named after the Persian word for “raw”. Since the 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to classic Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile that comes in a variety of vibrant colours and bold geometric patterns. These patterns, whether abstract or figurative, can depict animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variations in cotton and other materials. Sizes range from small mats to large rugs, so they fit into any room. Gabbehs embody a folk aesthetic that blends harmoniously into both modern and traditional interiors.
