Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven works of art from India, known as Gabbeh carpets. The term “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, referring to their simple and rustic nature. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile and offer a rich selection of colours and bold geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. They are usually made from wool, while some also use cotton or other materials. Ranging in size from small mats to large rugs, they can be used in any room of the house. Gabbeh rugs embody a tradition of craftsmanship and bring a unique, artistic touch to any home.
