Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, include the popular Gabbeh carpets, whose name means “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or figurative, often depicting motifs such as animals or people. Most Gabbeh rugs are made from wool, but cotton and other materials are also used. They range in size from small mats to large rugs, making them suitable for any room in the home. These rugs embody craftsmanship and offer a charming addition to modern or traditional interior styles, reflecting robust beauty and cultural depth.
