Description
Loom Lori carpets from India are known for their Gabbeh variants, named after the Farsi word for “raw”, which describes their simple, rustic nature. Since the early 1990s, they have been gaining popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbeh carpets impress with their thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric designs, which can be abstract or figurative and often depict animals or people. They are mainly made of wool, occasionally also of cotton or other materials. The carpets vary in size from small mats to large rugs and, thanks to their robust construction and artistic appeal, can be used in any room of the house.
