Description
Loom Lori carpets from India are particularly well known for their Gabbeh variants, which are characterised by their simple, rustic aesthetic. The name “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, reflecting the unpretentious, natural beauty of these carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have established themselves as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which often appear more formal. Gabbeh carpets fascinate with their thick, luxurious pile and offer a wide range of colours and bold geometric designs that depict both abstract and figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mainly made of wool, they are occasionally also made of cotton or other materials. Available in sizes ranging from small mats to large rugs, their sturdy construction and artistic design add a special touch to any room.
