Description
Loom Lori carpets from India, particularly well known for their Gabbeh variants, are characterised by their rustic and original aesthetic. The term “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, which underlines the unobtrusive yet luxurious nature of these carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have established themselves as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which often appear more formal. Gabbeh carpets fascinate with their dense, soft pile and a wide range of colours, as well as striking geometric patterns that can depict both abstract and figurative motifs such as animals or people. Made from wool, sometimes also from cotton or other materials, they are available in various sizes from small mats to large carpets and, thanks to their robustness and artistic appeal, fit into any room.
