Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted works from Iran and India, their name meaning “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to more formal Persian rugs. These rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or figurative. Usually made of wool, Gabbehs vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house. They embody a simple, rustic style and offer a warm and inviting atmosphere.
