Description
Gabbeh rugs, traditionally knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and embody a simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. They are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric and animal motifs, whether abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
