Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi. Popular since the early 1990s as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, they offer a thick, luxurious pile, many colours and feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house. Gabbehs offer a rustic style that stands out from formal interior design, yet conveys a sense of warmth and tradition.
