Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. With thick, luxurious pile and many colours, they feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house. Gabbehs are known for their rustic style and offer a contrast to more formal interiors.
