Description
Loom Lori carpets, known as “Gabbeh” in Farsi, are hand-woven in India on wide looms. Since the early 1990s, they have become popular as an alternative to traditional Persian carpets due to their rustic character and relaxed aesthetic. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a luxurious, thick pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Made from wool, sometimes also from cotton or other materials, they range in size from small mats to large rugs and fit perfectly into any room in the house.
