Gabbeh rugs, Persian for "raw", are rustic rugs that have been popular since the 1990s as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They offer thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, but also cotton or other materials, they come in a variety of sizes to suit any room.
