Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, mean "raw" in Persian. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. With thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, they feature cool geometric or animal patterns, often abstract or figurative. Mostly made of wool, but also cotton or other materials, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
