Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian. Popular since the 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. With thick pile and a variety of colours, they often feature geometric or animal patterns, abstract or representational. Made from wool, sometimes cotton, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any interior design. Gabbehs are known for their simplicity, rustic charm and cultural significance.
