Description
Loom Lori Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven treasures from India. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple, rustic nature. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian carpets. These carpets are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a rich variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or figurative, often featuring depictions of animals or people. Gabbeh rugs are mostly made of wool, but cotton and other materials are also used. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs, perfect for any room in the house. Each rug is unique, carefully handcrafted with attention to detail and a touch of artistic flair.
