Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, are known for their rustic style, which is based on the Farsi term for “raw”. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they range from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the home.
