Description
Loom Lori rugs from India, especially the Gabbeh varieties, are known for their rustic, raw aesthetic, which is reflected in the Farsi word “Gabbeh”. Since the early 1990s, they have offered a relaxed alternative to traditional, formal Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile and diverse colour schemes. The designs are often geometric, abstract or figurative and can depict animals or people. Made from wool, occasionally also from cotton or other materials, they are available in various sizes – from small mats to large carpets. Their robust construction and artistic appeal make them an elegant addition to any room in the house.
