Description
Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are known for their rusticity and simplicity. The term “Gabbeh” in Farsi means “raw” and describes their uncomplicated style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbeh rugs have a thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, often with cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Made from wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home.
