Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven in India on a wide loom. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet. Since the early 1990s, Gabbeh carpets have become increasingly popular as they offer a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian carpets. These carpets are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile and a wide variety of colours that form bold, geometric patterns. The patterns can be both abstract and representational, often depicting animals or people. Gabbeh carpets are usually made of wool, less commonly of cotton or other materials. Their sizes vary from small mats to large carpets, allowing them to be used in any room of the house.
