Description
Loom Lori Gabbeh rugs from India are handmade and bear the Farsi term “Gabbeh”, which means “raw”. Since the early 1990s, they have grown in popularity as a relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. Mostly made from wool, there are also variations in cotton or other materials. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs that can be used in any room, creating a cosy atmosphere while reflecting a cultural connection.
