Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which often appear formal. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, both abstract and representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room.
