Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted in Iran and India. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
