Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted works of art from Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to more formal Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colouring and bold geometric and animal motifs. Usually made of wool on wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room. These rugs embody a charming simplicity and a warm, handmade aesthetic that can enrich any home.
