Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted works of art from Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been a relaxed alternative to formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs have thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room. They owe their popularity to their simplicity and ability to create a warm atmosphere.
