Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted carpets from Iran and India. The name means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have been a more relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets, popular for their thick, luxurious yarns, diverse colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, whether abstract or representational. Made from wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit well in any room of the house.
