Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted carpets from Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been a relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick pile, diverse colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit well in any room of the house. Their popularity lies in their versatility and cosy charm in the living room.
