Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which are often associated with more formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, come in a variety of colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
