Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and describes rustic rugs that have become increasingly popular since the early 1990s. They offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs and are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Gabbehs are usually made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, and come in a variety of sizes to suit any room.
