Gabbeh, Farsi for “raw”, are rustic rugs that have been popular since the 1990s as a relaxed alternative to Persian rugs. They feature thick pile, many colours and bold patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, sometimes cotton, they come in various sizes to suit any interior design.
