Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Persian and refers to a simple, rustic rug. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns. Their designs are often abstract or depict animals and people. Mostly made of wool, but also cotton, they fit into any room of the house, from small mats to large carpets.
