Description
The term “gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Mostly made of wool, they are also available in cotton or other materials in various sizes to suit any room in the house.
