Description
Loom Lori Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven in India on wide looms. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes simple, rustic rugs. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as an alternative to traditional Persian rugs due to their relaxed and folksy style. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. From small mats to large rugs, they are versatile and fit into any room in the house.
