Description
Gabbeh, the Farsi word for “raw”, describes rustic carpets that have been popular since the 1990s as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. They have a thick pile, diverse colours and bold patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, they are also available in cotton or other materials, in sizes ranging from mats to large rugs suitable for any room.
