Description
Gabbeh, Persian for “raw”, are rustic carpets that have become increasingly popular since the 1990s as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. They are characterised by thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, often designed with cool geometric or animal motifs. The patterns can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. Gabbeh rugs are usually made of wool, come in a variety of sizes and fit well in any room of the house.
