Description
Gabbeh carpets are knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the 1990s, they have been popular because of their thick, luxurious pile and colourful, often geometric or animal patterns. They offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets and are usually made of wool, sometimes cotton. Sizes vary from small mats to large carpets.
