Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Persian and refers to simple, rustic rugs. Since the early 1990s, they have become more popular as they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and often geometric patterns. These can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Gabbeh rugs are typically made of wool and vary in size from small mats to large rugs that can be used in any room of the house.
