Gabbeh, Persian for "raw", are rustic carpets that have become increasingly popular since the early 1990s. They offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets and go well with a folk-inspired interior design. Gabbehs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric patterns. These can be abstract or figurative, often featuring animals or people. Usually made of wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the house.
