Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Persian and describes a simple, rustic rug. Since the early 1990s, they have been gaining popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs have thick pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns. These can be abstract or figurative and often depict animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. Their size varies from small mats to large carpets and they can be used in any room.
