Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and describes rustic carpets that have been growing in popularity since the early 1990s. A relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, they are known for their thick, luxurious yarns, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Gabbehs are usually made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, and range in size from small mats to large rugs for any room in the home.
