Gabbeh, which means "raw" in Persian, have been popular rustic carpets since the 1990s. As a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, they go well with folk interior design. With thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people, they are usually made of wool. They vary in size from small mats to large area rugs and are suitable for any area of the home.
