Gabbeh, a Farsi term meaning "raw", refers to rustic rugs that have been increasingly popular since the early 1990s. They offer a relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs and are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. These rugs can feature abstract or figurative motifs, often depicting animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also versions made of cotton or other materials. Gabbehs are available in various sizes and are suitable for any room in the house.
