Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to a simple, rustic rug. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a relaxed, more folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, they are also available in cotton or other materials in various sizes to suit any room in the house.
