Description
Gabbeh, the Farsi word for “raw,” describes rustic rugs that have been popular since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs and are characterised by thick pile, many colours and bold geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. Gabbehs are usually made of wool, but also cotton or other materials, and are available in various sizes to suit any room.
