Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes simple, rustic carpets. They have been popular since the early 1990s, offering a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. They range from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room.
