Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to a simple, rustic rug. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a wide range of colours and bold geometric patterns, often abstract or figurative with motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also cotton variants. Sizes range from mats to large carpets suitable for any interior design.
